Adoption / Adopted: Usual parliamentary term for approval of conference report. Under House Rule XI – Procedures of Committees and Unfinished Business, “Each standing committee shall adopt written rules governing its procedure.” Under Senate Rule XXVI – Committee Procedure, “Each committee shall adopt rules (not inconsistent with the Rules of the Senate) governing the procedure of such committee.”
Agreed To: Usual parliamentary term for approval of motions, amendments, and simple and concurrent resolutions. An amendment may be agreed to or rejected by a voice, division, or roll-call vote.
